Today I emailed our social worker with the suggestion that we meet Toby's birthparents. After much discussion Tim and I decided that to meet them would be good for both us and them. If we were in their situation we would want to meet the people that we might give our child to. We think that it will either secure their thoughts to adopt out baby Toby to us or not. For us it would feel as if we are making some progress and finally put a face with the name. We will not meet baby Toby, and we really are not looking for that right now. We just want to meet his birth parents and maybe help them make their decision. Let's pray they like us=)
We know that by meeting them it will only attach us more to this opportunity but we are willing to take that chance. We should find out next week if they want to meet us or not. Wish us luck!
