Today is a very exciting day for us. The TPR date has been set for June 16th at 9am. I know most of you are saying "what does that mean". What TPR is Termination of Parental Rights. This is the day that Hailey's birth parents officially give up their rights to be her parents.
This is a huge step in Hailey becoming our official adopted daughter. After the TPR hearing their rights are terminated and then we just have to wait the 5 months for the state of Wisconsin to allow us to become her official parents on paper. According to our hearts she is already ours!
The communications with birth mom Steph have been nothing but positive and there are no signs of her changing her mind. Birth dad Cory has not been involved and has verbalized that he will sign off on the papers. June 16th will be a big day to celebrate. We will keep you posted on how it goes.
Keep all of us in your prayers over the next 4 weeks.
